In July 2017, it was decided to create a loose association of those racetracks in our region which stage official, Thoroughbred racing on the beach.

Until the pandemic struck, the European Beach Racing Association held annual meetings, at Plestin-les Greves, Laytown and Sanlucar de Barrameda. For the last couple of years, we have been delighted to return to holding in-person meetings, at Cuxhaven, Germany in 2022, and at Zahara de los Atunes last year. An announcement will shortly be made regarding this year's meeting.
